Fuck You George Bush

I don't want to see your smirk.
There are people dying as you speak.
You make me so angry.

Here you were on August 30, 2005, while people were trapped in their attics, while people were drowning, when people were dying.

You look so concerned.

President Bush plays a guitar presented to him by Country Singer Mark Wills, right, backstage following his visit to Naval Base Coronado, Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005. Bush visited the base to deliver remarks on V-J Commemoration Day.

I am sickened. Bush just said, "out of this rubble, will come a new Biloxi, Mississippi." Sorry, but that doesn't do a whole lot for me when people are still missing. They don't have enough food in shelters. People are DYING, dipshit.

"I'm satisified with the response, I'm not satisfied with the results."

Laura Bush is in Lafayette with some refugees. She's saying how civil it all is. Honey, why don't you get your lilly white ass to the Astrodome. It's gotten UGLY.

I'm sickened that this is happening in my country.

And yes, I am volunteering and not just bitching. I can do both equally well.

uhmm

Excuse me.

The dome in New Orleans is the SUPERdome. It is well and truely screwed.

The Astrodome in HOUSTON is doing just fine. We're feeding, clothing and sheltering about 20,000 of our new neighbors there. All in all, we're taking care of about 200,000 of our neighbors within Harris county, and surrounding counties and communities.

Huntsville has some newly constructed Hospitals, and some older buildings that can be reopened. The medical personel are ready and waiting for them.

There are shelters all over the Eastern half of Texas housing people from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama..

Dallas is also recieving people and caring for them. Their count is about 30,000 so far, and growing.

San Antonio is even taking up to 25,000 and putting them up at the (closed) Ellington Airforce Base.

Houston has over 20 shelters Red Cross certified that are up and running and there are more being opened and certified everyday. There are people opening their homes to shelter newly found "family". One man opened his house to some of his family, and their friends, and some friends of friends. The count was 25 at last report. He gave up his bed, and made a pallet to sleep on in a walkin closet.

Last night, about 2,000 more "new neighbors" showed up at the Astrodome after it was determined to be "full up". After some thought, they were housed in another part of the complex, and a call for volunteer help went out over the air at 1 am. In about an hour, they had the medical people and other volunteers (about 500 in all) and they didn't come empty-handed. They all came with diapers, water, food, clothing, toiletries, towels... and were passing them out to the folks as they headed off the bus.

I'd say, right now, it ain't a bad thing to be a Houstonian. Even when you're from Louisiana.

AMEN, debutante.

I hope and pray the country will see the incredible fumble the administration made (yet again) and vote all of their pansy asses out of office.

As for the Astrodome, I was there today and while it is by no means the Superdome there are many stresses, overextended medical and volunteer staff and the restrooms are beginning to crash under the load. It's better than what they had but don't fool yourself into thinking it's a place you'd want to stay.

Maybe opening the convention center will help ease the crushing load.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Bravo.
