Bread doesn't do it for me. I lost my love of bread when I went to France. The bread there is worth the calories, but it aint worth it here. Except maybe that raisin nut bread from Whole Foods. And only if it is fresh.
BTW, here is the question we were talking about last night. You would so get this question right on Millionaire but maybe not on Jeopardy! cuz you wouldn't have the multiple choice unless it was pretty obvious from the category name:
For 16 thousand carbohydrate grams:
The comedian known as "Super Dave Osborne" is related to the following comedian:
A. Albert Brooks
B. Buck Henry
C. Dan Ackroyd
D. Steve Martin
I knew this one but would never be able to guess it just looking at them or seeing their comedy.
So maybe it would be worth 32K carbs.
Thinking of Super Dave reminds me of being a kid.

Went on a low-carb diet once. It lasted 2 weeks. I felt terrible. When my hubby saw me eating carbs, his reaction was "You off that stupid diet? Good. You have been so bitchy!" I was too busy stuffing bread into my face to smack him. And I did not loose ANY weight.
Hang in there, Deb!

Bread is not worth the calories because there are so many foods that are WAY better.
I won't mention those foods because it would be uncool to really really start talking food in front of steroid eting girl.
Bread in France is like eating dessert though.
Alcohol is usually not worth the calories either. I'd much rather eat than drink. Unless it is good French wine.
I know it is fashionable to slam the French but I've got no quarrel with a country that produces so much spectacular food and drink and appreciates it. When people were talking about boycotting French products, I was all, hurray, more cheaper for me.
Posted by: Sis#1 at December 30, 2005 08:50 AMlol, I didn't know you posted this here. Funny! And I want to hear no more of this "Bread isn't worth it" talk. Blasphemy!
