I think I'm going to keep this short
Doin' ok. My whites went down to 6. But that happens. No worries. I'm tired and cannot get enough sleep. My rash is still funky looking. And I just wish I could dip myself in moisturizer (no baths here though).
They switched out my catheter and now are filling me with fluids so that I feel like Violet the blueberry from Willy Wonka. Got to get all that stuff flushed out so we can make sure it still works right.
So there you go. my post for today.
Posted by debutaunt at March 12, 2006 05:46 PMyou're sounding good, deb. thinking of you often.you're doing this!! xo
Posted by: kristin at March 12, 2006 07:11 PMAwww, Violet did not look like a fun person to be. I pray that it will pass very quickly, and you will soon feel rested. For now, sleep all you need to. We are all going to keep on doin' the good thoughts, prayers and visiting you!

Posted by: Maria at March 13, 2006 10:11 AMWell I must say that feeling like Violet still has got to be better than the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghost Busters!! At least Violet was full of liquids!!
Glad to hear you're still feeling better. Get some rest.

Posted by: Denise at March 13, 2006 10:52 AMWe'll all have to go to the spa when you're done for a fabby bath, with lots of mud moisture.
Posted by: Kami at March 13, 2006 11:07 AMAnd I think Puff Daddy is hot.
Posted by: Kami at March 13, 2006 11:08 AMHey, you are sounding a lot better! I am sorry to hear about your "expanding" state, but I hope it is just a short-lived thing.
Strangely enough, I've been there (no catheter, though, my expansion was unplanned). The most fun part (in a very bizarre sort of way) was after they gave me a diuretic and I peed about 10 pounds of liquid in one go. Of course, less fun was that it was into a bedpan and it almost didn't all fit (even if it hadn't, nothing was going to stop me at that point). Let's just say the nurse in charge of the bedpan had to use her best balancing skills that day! Oh, and they got me a little potty chair after that. When my new doctor came by to introduce himself, guess where I was sitting? Dignity, schmignity. (I decided not to shake his hand, under the circumstances.)
Sorry to hijack your blog, but your puffiness reminded me of that long-forgotten situation from my own past. Sometimes you just have to laugh.
Posted by: Philosophical Karen at March 13, 2006 12:09 PMYou are so funny! Glad the cath. is gone -- hope the PP issues are gone soon, too. Hope your day gets Diddy!!

Posted by: clandestine at March 13, 2006 01:52 PMI heart you debu_blueberry.
Posted by: Rachel in AK at March 13, 2006 04:24 PMHow old is Zoe? Five six? The best thing I did for my nephews that they remember years later is a fort we made out of big sheets of cardboard in their bedroom. It had a draw bridge that we let down to anyone that needed to come into the room. Next year we did a space ship. Since you are sick and probably can't do any physical stuff I would suggest a puppet show, that maybe you could rig together and film for Zoe. Please let me know if I can help you with ideas for puppets or for a Flash animation. I am at your disposal. Lynne xx
P.S.Decorating their own cake is also a good idea.
Just stoppin' by to say 'hi' and see how its goin. I hope you're resting and feeling less puffy and more diddy.
Posted by: lawbrat at March 13, 2006 05:55 PMOK, this is NOT cool. The bribe package I sent was apparenly mis-directed, and today has been returned to me. **grrrrrrr** Is it too late to send a new one??
Posted by: eclectic at March 13, 2006 06:13 PMQueen of the Universe.
If you are thinking about Willy Wonka, that's a
good sign. Your guardian angel Sarah, had that
DVD, because you do know it was always about
the candy for her.
Smile you are on your way home.

Lisabeth
