Restless and Icy

delurk2_3.jpg

It's icing in the Alamo City. Zoe isn't going to have school tomorrow. Elvis is all holed up at his casa, and I probably won't get to see him tomorrow.

Not much else is going on. I'm still dreading the procedure I have to have Wednesday. Although my leukemia forum folks said that it is quite common to get abnormal cells up until about a year post transplant. Learn something new every day. As many chest x-rays and other stuff I had, I'd really be surprised if I'm not a martian.

Zoe is currently sitting in a laundry basket watching the Popeye movie on tv.

Ok. I need to bathe. I smell like meds.

I can do this. I have clean laundry and Zoeinabasket.

Your assignment today is me just being nosy. I'm stealing from Sassypants at Maisonpants.

1.-- What's your favourite fruit?
2.-- What's one of the worst names you've ever heard?
3.-- Tell me a secret.

1) Watermelon. Will make myself sick eating it.

2) I was subbing for a first grade class, and this girl's name was Aquanette. I had to turn away for a moment to stifle the laughter.

3) Pleh. You already know all of my secrets.

3. I absolutely love "Toxic" by Britney Spears, despite despising every other damn thing she has ever done with her life.

1.-- What's your favourite fruit? hmmmm I love bananas and melons and pineapples are fun - though I get an allergic reaction to the citrus.

I'm delurking, just a little late though.
I've been reading for about a year now, give or take.

My favorite fruit is frozen grapes.
Try it- it makes me a great snack, kinda like popcorn.

I cant stand the name ellie. It reminds me of my brother and sister -in -laws dog. This little ole doggie that weighed 3 pounds and barked endlessly. I can still hear my sis-in-law hollering......."ELLIE" hush up. ew..... now i have shivers. Oh, and Tequila is a stupid name too.

No big secrets that i could tell you, that you would understand.

So i may not comment much, but when i do, its half a page. lol

1. Pineapple...or Honeycrisp apples... or clementine tangerines... or cherries (can you tell I like fruit?)
2. Worst name. Humm. That could be an epic length comment. Let's see. There were the twins, Genera and Generick (say it out loud) and then there were the parents who wanted me to call their child "Poodah" instead of his given name...and then there's the story I heard from a fellow teacher who said she'd had a girl named Fe'male in her class. She asked how she'd ended up with that name, was it a family name? The answer: "Oh, no. The hospital done named her that. They sent her home with a bracelet with that name on it. You know: Female Jones.
3. A secret. Uhm wouldn't be a secret if I told it. :o)

1. favorite fruit: peaches/blueberries

2. worst name I've ever heard: off the top of my head it would be malkaijah...although I've heard of some real doozies that "stars" give their children. what are these people thinking???

3. a secret: i'm terrified of being just like my mother.

1. raspberries.

2. there's a girl in the Wee One's class whose parents called her Aryan. When i saw that on the school sign-in sheet i just about yelped. Someone must have said something to them, because the spelling has been changed to Orion. (which is how they always pronounced it). Unbelievable.

3. I love filling in forms.

Are you riding in the Zoe basket to your Dr.'s
appt.?

Posted by: Claire at January 17, 2007 07:22 AM

Favorite fruit: nearly anything as long as it is in season. Especiallly, those Cuties ( I love sitting around with my kids, just hanging out, and peeling a dozen or so for them. )
Chocolate covered any fruit is very good as well.

Worst name: Suri.
I think that name is suppose to mean something in Hebrew, but I can't help but think of that song from the musical, Okalahoma, "Suri with a fringe on top..."

Secret: I like to dance, sing and/or do tae kwon do moves in my house when I think no one is looking. And in fact, would do any of the aforementioned in front of anyone if I knew I had a willing audience.

"Oh you know she was a Kung Fu fighta'...Da ta da ta da ta .... And she was fast as lightin'.."

2. Bingo. Bingo and Colt were our neighbor boys. Not dogs. It was the 60s.

3. I can't think of a secret. I will work on it.

De-lurking here!
1. Sweet, fresh, juicy peaches.
2. Redoyka. She was a beautiful girl of Finnish descent - I met her in the early 90s. Such a hideous name - it even makes your mouth feel ugly when you say it.
3. I'm scared of the automatic car wash.

Waaaaaay late to the this ballgame due to some wierd travel but...

1. In order - Fresh pineapple (I'm allergic but I love it anyway), Braeburn apples and Ranier cherries.

2. I know a Dutch guy name Joreon...which is pronounced dangerously close to "urine". Given my initials, I'm sensitive to that one.

3. I once had a Top Secret clearance as a military intelligence officer and on the first day we got access to the TS website I had my entire intelligence class search for any info on Roswell, Elvis Presley and the Kennedy assassination. Alas we found nothing.
